solstice championJosh Kelly got the most out of daylight on the longest day of the year and won the LOSTU Summer Solstice Challenge by catching a trout at 8:40pm on Lower Meadow Fork.   Pictured, in Josh’s hand, is a beautiful example of the rewards of fishing into the “magic hour.”  For his efforts, Josh wins a Black Diamond “Storm” waterproof  headlamp to light his way on future evening excursions.  Follow Josh’s example and wait until the heat of the summer days has waned into dusk and you too can enjoy some great fishing after everyone else has gone home.  But be safe and don’t forget that legal trout angling ends in N.C. 30 minutes after sunset.

Congratulations Josh!
