The USFS is will be working to re-foliate some of the shoreline of Max Patch Pond on Thursday, 2 April and needs volunteers. The work will run from about 10am-2pm and involve “live-staking” young tree cuttings. If you’ve never visited this beautiful site in Madison County, it’s 360 degree views make it well worth the drive up. Max Patch Pond offers hatchery supported trout fishing and serves as the site for one of the USFS’ Kids’ fishing Days. Please let me know as soon as possible at firstname.lastname@example.org if you can help. Plan to bring a lunch and water.
